Constitution - Union Councils - Executive Committee - Sub-Committees

Constitution

The Students Union is governed by a document called the Constitution.  This document lays out the way in which the Union is run, Student Union Policies, Officer Responsibitilites and the basic structure of the union, for more information click here

Union Councils

Union Councils are held once a month in the Students union and are at the hub of democracy.  The agenda is entirely decided by students.  Any member of SURHUL is encouraged to attend Union Councils, submit motions, make free speech and to vote at said meetings, for more information click here

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee consists of Elected Officers who are elected in every year in cross campus Elections.  They are the decision making board of the union.  They meet as a whole every four weeks, the week before the Union CouncilAny Student may attend these meetings and have their say though only the officers are entitled to a vote.

Union Sub-Committees

 

Working with each Executive Officer is a sub-committee made up of mainly 'lay' students - members of the Students' Union who have volunteered to sit on the committee and help run the Union alongside the Executive Officers.

 

The current sub-committees of the Students' Union are:
