Wel.. what a hectic week! I have done a surprising amount :D

ALSO.... keep an eye out around campus for the Sports Centre staff raising money for Right To Play. They will be cycling hard for your donations. so.... keep and eye out in xlands and the su, and donate the odd pennies you have in your purses :D 

Lots of National Student Survey promoting outside the Windsor building. You can still do it online via the RHUL homepage, so finalists get your opinion of holloway out there!

RAG week volunteering throughout the week. This year the charity is Beat Bullying so a worthy cause. Slave auctionwas immense as was the superhero night at the su,  Im looking forward to hearing how much was raised from you fabulous students!

I had my first time umpiring RHUL netball 1sts in their ULU league on Monday night. What a nice game! A good win and it was hard to umpire and not watch or shout from the sidelines. Well done girls.

As always I watched the home games on wednesday, we had some good results, some not so good. And it was COLD! But the support was definatly growing which is just awesome. If your free from 2pm why not come along and watch the games too? We have rugby men 1sts playing, Badminton Mens 2s and womens 1s, football mens 2s and 3s,. All down at nobles fields! What a good variety and all are worthy of watching!

on Sunday I finally drove one of the minibuses and had my first full experience of American Football. I drove them down to play Southampton Solent. Despite the loss it was a fun day and my throwing has most defanitly improved, much to my aching now!

The Soc, RAG and Media Ball tickets are onsale now!!!! make sure you get yours to celebrate the fantastioc year and recieve awards for all your hard work. Who will be Soc of the year?? Who had the best radio show?? Only one way to find out!! GET your ticket from the su box office now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly,my most sincere apologiesfor the late blogging, ihave just been doing so much!

Where to start? Over the xmas I have been creating and responding to issues raised by the AUC bfore term. There is now a agreement and list of equipment allowed for each club usingthe sportshall.Sofingers crossed we can make your  training time run smoother and improve your relationship with the Sports Centre. Awesome!

I have also been, as always replyingto YOUR emails and watching you and your team play your ssports on wednesday!

I also went to a number of events across campus, includingthe big student debate. Here I raisedthe issue of sports facilities oncampus, and the lack of!I sadly can only say that development is on stuckon the money basis and planning permission.

I have co-chaired anumber of SAC meetings and BURLESQUE!!is well in swing. Buy your tickets from the SA officenow, just £2- Wednesday 10th Feb. Societies ball is well underway and sponsorship is coming in thick and fast!AWESOME!! Colours ball nominations are duesoon so please get your packs in!!! and prep for the  colours ball is also under way.YEY!

I have just spent 2hours out in the cold raising money for RAG week. ITS COLD outside! Please rock on through campus and donate just 20p to the beat bullying charity.You might also get a lolly!!!

As well as this I am helping to get all you third years asnwering questions in the national student survey! come into windsor auditorium now!!!!!there are plenty of pens to be had! and your opinions are crucial!!!

1.12.09Apologies for the delay in updating the blog over the past week. Work, work work! Hiowever I have doe

stuff apart from my degree: Apart from the standard SAC and EXEC meetings, I have done lots of office hours and watch you lovely sports guy play some lovely play!! Rugby were immense so congrats boys!

I have also helped out with the 10:10 launch campaign, and alongside Rachy P looked at reducig the carbon footprint of socs and sports! woop.!

The Blitz ball has been at the forefront of my mind and is defiantly the cause of this headcahe!! thanks so much to all of you that came along and helped raise money for the Royal British Legion! the night was a huge success and keep your eyes peeled for the next excuting history soc event!

18/11/09 SAC BLOG:

So the SAC this week have desinged another fun for all, keep your eyes peeled for more info! The evnts team are also aiding the History Society with the 1940S BLITZ BALL. tickets on sale from the box office now: £12 members, £10 members.

SAC also spent time in tommys collecting teams for interhall football, GET INVOLVED! should be awesome fun. Alongside this they have been doing their office hours, attending home games, writing match reports, play/ show reviews, checking up on finances of socs and sports.

Finally the SAC welcome our new Rag rep: SAMAN, welcome to the sac and we are all excited about getting these rag events rolling. Fun for all!!

- AUC meeting, well done to those with good results and awesome improvement in the teams! and lovely socials, WOOP sports teams :D

-STARS presentation evening in the picture gallery, all very lovely and what fantastic sporting ability we have at RHUL, it was a good display of our home talents. Plus some nice wine and paté, always works well!

- went to as many home games as possible, especiallu those competing who are bears teams. Well done to all those that played and won, which was immense! and a BIG THANKYOU to all the home teams, who all took part in the minutes silence on Remberance Day. RHUL sport remembers them.

- Exec meeting. 10:10 campaign is being launched soon, so GET INVOVLED and help make RHUL more green!

Hello again!

So I have finally managed to stop deleting previous blogs WOOP! I have though that the best way for me to show you, the students, what I have been up to this week I would post 'THIS IS MY WEEK'. That way you can all see what I have been up to and what progress and changes are being made for you. so....

What have I done this week? well......

- I started my internship last sunday and went to the Senotaph to pay my respects on remembrance sunday.SURHUL were present in me, whilst other exec members, Rach P and Emilly C took part in the Engelfield Green memorial service.

- SAC meeting: Interhall finalised and money collection days set up. WOOP, come along with 9 other friends and create  a team to compete in interhall on a friday afternoon and get those feet moving. Only £20 a team, come and find us in Tommy's all day on monday, tuesday, wednesday with the first games on friday, woop!

- Passed my 9 seater minibus test! score!

- had exec, sac and history society photos in the quad.

-History society eurotrip collections of finakl payments. And made progress with the future events planned!

What an exciting couple of weeks, I have, as usual watched all the home games onwednesday, some awesome play and big improvements, so I'm very excited for those teams! :D Also big well done to the american football  team who secured their first ever win for the club against Canterbury Christchurch. A massive 14-0 wiin, well done! The ir next game is this sunday, so pop along to nobles on sunday and have a ganders.!

I have alongside Rach P written a consitution format/ guideline for all the sports clubs, so make sure your club has a consitiution, there are no excuses anymore :D!

Racheal and I also proposed a motion to update our roles to ensure that AUO and SFO check and help all new societies and sports in their first few years especially. thus all the newly ratfied commitess will have SURHUL fully behind as always :D

I went to the Senotaph on remembrance sunday and had the first day of my internship, absolutely loved it!!

I also, once again with racheal sold poppies for many an hour outside the holly tree. make sure you got your poppy on.

SAC social at the slug and lettuce was uber fun. The AUC went realyl well on monday and all issues raised have been passed on and i look forward to emailing out telling you what has happened as a resutl of the council meeting.

Dont forget to come along to general meeting today at 8pm SU main hall. See you there!

So lots has happened, trials are all sorted and all the sports clubs are under way.
Some fantasic results so far so a big WELL DONE to those teams that are a winning well!! :D Getting ready for the next AUC so any points you want to raise hit me up with an emial.
Going to watch StreetCar this week and very very very excited!!
I had lots of history society meetings and bookswapping which went down a treat with some very kind donations from the lecturers. ~Any money raised from those lecturer's donations will be going towards discounting your history society dinner dance tickets, score :D
Looking forward to giving blood and starting my internship.
