President - James Pidgeon

James is the figurehead of the Students’ Union, and has overall responsibility for student representation, governance, finance, staffing and strategic development. He represents the students of Royal Holloway at College, University of London Union, National Union of Students, and local and national government. If you’re not sure who to speak to at the SU, then James should be your first point of enquiry!

Vice President Education and Welfare - Charlotte Bassam-Bowles

Welfare of our students is a top priority at the Student’s Union, and Charlotte can confidentially help with any academic or welfare issues you may have at Royal Holloway. This can be
anything from seeking advice on student
housing, getting help with appealing your degree result, or gaining information on finance and employment. Charlotte also has overall responsibility for RAG.

Vice President Communication and Services - David Cummins

David is responsible for all communication from the Students’ Union to our students, and acts as Editor-in-Chief of The Orbital and Insanity Radio Station. He also ensures that all of the SU’s commercial services - our entertainments, bars, and catering facilities – are working and developing effectively, as well as operating in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.

Vice President Student Activities - Emma Montague

If you have any queries relating to sports, societies or development opportunities, then Emma is the person you need to speak to! Emma ensures that all of our 82 clubs and societies are financially viable and working efficiently and democratically, whilst also gaining the appropriate facilities and resources. She also has overall responsibility for the Students’ Union’s volunteering schemes.
